Our Story
Hi, I’m Dr. Chris Collins, founder of Axia Chiropractic.
My journey into Upper Cervical Chiropractic began because of my wife.
For years, she struggled with debilitating migraines, and like many people, we searched for answers everywhere. It wasn’t until she saw an Upper Cervical Chiropractor that she finally found relief.
That experience changed both of our lives and became the catalyst for the kind of doctor I wanted to be.
It also shaped a belief that has stayed with me ever since: when you feel stuck in your health, you often need more than another short-term solution. You need someone willing to look carefully at the foundation of your health and ask why your body may be struggling to adapt and recover.
That philosophy eventually became the heart of our practice.
Before The Specific, we were Novel Chiropractic. At the time, that name represented what felt novel to us nearly ten years ago: deeper conversations about the nervous system, a focused approach to chiropractic care, and a healthcare experience built with greater intention.
For much of the last decade, we were known as The Specific Chiropractic Chattanooga. That chapter gave us a strong clinical foundation and connected us with a community of doctors committed to Upper Cervical Chiropractic.
Today, we are Axia Chiropractic.
The change is not about starting from scratch. It reflects what this practice has grown into and the kind of healthcare experience we want to continue building for the years ahead.
Our clinical focus remains the upper cervical spine, a foundational area of the spine with a unique relationship to the nervous system.
We use thorough examination, specialized X-rays, and computerized infrared thermography to help us determine when care is appropriate, make the most specific correction we can, and reassess how the body responds.
We believe care should look at the whole person and be guided by thoughtful, measurable evidence.
The word Axia also means worth or value in Greek, which fits the philosophy behind our work.
Your health is worth the time.
Our goal is to help people build greater capacity for life.
A new name, with the same conviction behind the work.
Upward in Health. Forward in Life.
